Nice Ambience...

Its a calm and soothing piece to tell the truth, even though it didnt have too much of a build to it , but then again, there's ambient for u...

this made me imagine a post apocalyptic world where there was only one survivor, lost on the vast deserted continents, trying to find his way back home.

It seems to me taht this is a very dark piece, which is exactly why i like it, and as coop said, this could be used in several parts of flash movies. Also, this could be slightly shorter as the whole ambience gets a bit repetitive after a while so maybe making it a loop would be better.

Overall, its a decent piece and if u arranged some slight negatives, ud go far.

Thanks :)

See my previous comment to Coop83 when it comes to the lenght of the song.

Thanks for the review :)

Namaste.

Fantastic Work!

the rythm is well thought out throughout really, its overall great and there isnt much that i'd improve. Just a couple of things though:

The melody was blended togethere very well it got slightly discordant in some slight parts and that instruments whihc u used (which sounds like a windows sound btw) got slightly repetitive in certain areas.

Background was great but got slightly repetitive towards the end as the drum beat was just repeating itself basically. Maybe u could work on a more varied drum beat.

Overall however, its fantastic and i think it'd deserve high marks wherever it went ;)

thanks darklight :) i appreciate the review! i tried to fix most of those issues in the remix :)

Fantastic..

Srsly, this is a great piece, it hits something deep inside each of us whihc is just yearning to come out. U helped it to burst out. This piece is fantastic!

The strings and piano blended in brilliantly, i always like strings and piano, ever since i heard some of my fav authors on NG use them together fantastically, ive been on the lookout for string and piano.

The fact that u used a flute also helped seeign as im a great fan of the flute. However, the one thing i didnt like was that the ending cut off a bit too abruptly. Maybe u could wokr on that a bit more.

Overall, fantastic piece!

Hmm... I haven't heard that about the ending, but maybe I'll have it fade out longer.

Glad the song touched you. I greatly appreciate the review :)

Holy Shrimps!!!!!!!

This is insanely better then the other one! and by insane i mean INSANE! This is better then the first version, way better in fact. Improved piano, improved bass, improved friggin everything!

ok, lets do this in an orderly fashion shalt we?

1) Improved Intro...

Intro was fantastically better then the original so that got ur pts up by a couple of dozen. I always like a good intro, IMO it gives a good first impression so it helps anyone who's listening to like ur song even more. Nice work on the intro XD

2) Imrpoved Transitions...

The title says it all really, HOLY SHRIMPS those are some good transitions? did i mention that this song is insane?

srsly, those transtitions are way better, everything just seems to blend into each other with smooth, precise (not to mention Insane) transitions. Fantastic job!

3) Improved melodies...

Again, INSANE melodies (im pretty sure ur sick of hearing insane by now...). U introduced alternate melodies basically everywhere which sure got my interest rate up (and that was amazing considering that i reviewed this at 11:04 am, about 4 mins after i got up...What? Its Sunday!)

4) Improved buildups...

i particularly liked the drum build up at 1:40 as that provided such an insane (ull be banging ur head against the wall by now) climax which srsly got my attention level even higher. Overall climaxes were great really and there was basically nothing u did wrong with this.

5) Improved Background

Again, fantastic job on this, u blended in the background with the melodies amazingly, making sure that nothing overpowered the main melody but that everything was harmonized. Great job!

6) Improved Friggin Everything...

Overall, this is an INSANELY (ull be heading towards an asylum by now...) great song which deserves every ten and every five it gets (five in the score of course). I downloaded this one as its jsut to good to be passed up. Congrats on making a fantastic song! Keep up the insane (i wonder where ull be now...) work!

Step responds:

Yes, holy shrimps indeed XD.

Intro is much better mastered now which is probably why it sounds so er... insane.

Insane transitions are my speciality XD. I used a reverse snare, reverse kick and reverse cymbal (as you can see, I like reverse... you seem to like insane)...

Yeah, the melodies are rather, err... insane, =/. I wanted to try and make the craziest piano song ever to exist, and as a matter of fact, I might have succeeded XD. Whoa... you woke up at 11:00?? Now that IS insane.

*Bumps head on wall* I'm glad you liked the drum buildup there, it's the first time I used the Fruity Phaser, and the first time I used the Fruity Blood Overdrive XD. I wasn't too sure of the buildup, since I thought it'd make the song too boring, but every nerve of mine was screaming at me to add it, so I did ^^.

Everything was harmonized?? Whoa... that struck me... I need to take a rest and think about that... Everything harmonized? Seriously, something's wrong here...

*Comes back from asylum* Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I had fun making it so everybody wins XD. Anyway, I'll be off at the detention centre, because I banged my head onto 84 families' houses and now my town looks like a huge earthquake had occured. Thanks for the review!

Quite a decent effort!

Its an interesting loop although instrument choice wasn't the best as midi sounds always on the uninteresting side so that's definetely somthing u could improve.

It does sound qutie piratey but as for the genre i think it'd fit better in the classical style as its not much of a video game loop. It doesn't loop too well either so amyeb you could work on that.

Overall, its decent effort and its looks like u put some work into it to say the least. keep up the good work.

sarias responds:

well It is mostly classical I wasn't thinking video game when I wrote it, but I kinda felt that way to me :) like runescape or something idk

Like haggard mentioned, its generic...

...But still, its quite good. U put in a decent background and melody even though the instruments u used can be found ready on Fl Studio and can be heard in several songs around NG.

However, you put in good blend and there was a good drive towards the end. There were very little climaxes and you could've put in some more work on a heavier beat and a less repetitive background.

Overall, its a decent piece and well thought out. Not a bad effort, keep it up!

Liam3003 responds:

Unless everyone who owns FL studio is using z3ta+, my sounds used here are not FL studio ready sounds. Although, I guess it's impossible to have original sounds.

Thanks for the review.

Not a bad piece!

Its not particularly varied and it did tend to get slightly repeptive after a while but u used several different instruments and set off the mood quite well. The beat was slightly weak and inaudible so maybe you could make the strong beats a bit louder.

U used a good blend of instruments and did an overall good job. You could work a bit mroe on ur outro as its a bit too abrupt.

Overall, its a great piece. Keep it up!

ChaosDragon004 responds:

I'll do my best to kick up the bass in future songs that way you can feel the hit. I that you are right about that though and I will make sure to fix that next time. Thanks bro for the feedback, it was much appreciated.

So emotional...

It definetely portrays the feelings you wanted to set out. It imiiedetely has a mournful air and seeing as the style is similar to that of the Romantic Period, it looks like you chose a good idea to start with.

You used varied melodies in mroe parts and the heavy chords set it off well although in some parts these overwhelmed the main melody quite a bit.

Overall, you did a very good job on this, you almost got a ten XD. Just keep up the good work and ull be getting tens in no time...

Yay! Thanks for this dude! :)

MY GAWD! That's brilliant!

This is such a cool piece of music. It sounds mischievous and cheeky at the beginning adn then it moves on to dark and spooky. It makes me imagine a cheeky kid getting lost in the woods and being chased by all the night creatures.

Even for a piano only song thsi is great. Nice work.

Overall, it looks like u put a hell of a lot of work into it so u deserve my ten.

Box-Killa responds:

haha thanks yea, I spent a good amount of time making this. The mood changes quite a bit :D Thanks for the review darky

Hope you dont mind me calling you darky, darky.

Thanks again!

Quite simple, but sounds good...

U could've made it a hell of a lot more complicated, from where i stand (and listen) i see a great deal of potential for this.

U definetely managed to harmonize the treble and bass quite well, although some parts were slightly off.

The intro was way too simple and needs more of a build up.

What would really bring this through would be a stronger background, there are too few instruments, strings, drums and maybe even a bass guitar woudl definetely help to make this better,

Overall, its a good piece, there were pretty decent buildups but it needs some more work.
